Mission and Bylaws for
Tri-Cities Corvette Club
ARTICLE I - Name
The name of this Club shall be Tri-Cities Corvette Club.

ARTICLE II - Purpose
The purpose of the Tri-Cities Corvette Club is to encourage interactivity between individual Corvette owners and other Corvette Clubs, including but not limited to those within the National Council of Corvette Clubs (NCCC).

ARTICLE III – Membership
Section 1. Active membership shall consist of those who are current dues paying members of the Tri-Cities Corvette Club.

Section 2. Attendance – All active members of the Tri-Cities Corvette Club are encouraged to attend all meetings and events as often as possible.

Section 3. Dues – Membership dues are due and payable the first day of September of each year, and are current for a period of one year. Dues consist of: $40.00 – Insurance payable to NCCC.
$10.00 – Per person - Not to exceed a total of $60.00 for a family membership.

Section 4. Membership Benefits – Active members will receive monthly membership updates to include the members’ name, spouse’s name (if applicable), address, and phone number, cell phone number and e-mail address. This information is to be used for the sole purpose of member information and use, and is not to be shared, published or sold to outside persons for any reason without explicit permission from members.

ARTICLE IV – Officers
Section I. The Officers of the Tri-Cities Corvette Club shall be:
a. A President;
b. A Vice-President;
c. A Recording Secretary;
d. A Treasurer

Section 2. At the regular meeting held on the second (2nd) Tuesday of November, a Nominating Committee of three (3) members shall be appointed by the President. It shall be the duty of this Committee to nominate candidates for the offices to be filled at calendar year end. Additional nominations from the floor shall be permitted.

Section 3. The officers shall be elected by ballot to serve for one year or until their successors are elected, and the term of office shall begin following the December meeting of each year.

Section 4. No member shall hold more than one office at a time.

Section 5. If any of the duly offices are vacated for any reason, an election shall be held to elect a person to fill the office.

ARTICLE V – Meetings
Section 1. The regular meeting of the Tri-Cities Corvette Club shall be held on the second (2nd) Tuesday of each month from January to December inclusive unless otherwise ordered by the Club.

Section 2. The regular meeting on the second (2nd) Tuesday of December shall be known as the Annual Meeting and shall be for the purpose of electing officers, receiving reports of the officers and committees, and for any other business that may arise. Nominations will be received and made in November and the election and of officers will be held during the December meeting and announced at that time. Officers will assume their duties following the December meeting of each year.

Section 3. Special meetings may be called by the President or by the Executive Board and shall be called upon the written request of five (5) members of the Club. The purpose of the meeting shall be stated in the call. Except in cases of emergency, at least three days notice shall be given.

Section 4. A minimum of twelve (12) members present at a meeting shall constitute a quorum. At least three (3) of these persons must be officers.

ARTICLE VI – The Executive Board
Section 1. The officers of the Tri-Cities Corvette Club shall constitute the Executive Board.

Section 2. The Executive Board shall have general supervision of the affairs of the club between its business meetings, fix the hour and place of meetings, make recommendations to the Club, and shall perform such other duties as specified in these Bylaws. The Board shall be subjected to orders of the Club and none of its’ act shall conflict with action taken by the Club.

Section 3. Unless otherwise ordered by the Board, there will be regular monthly meetings from January to December inclusive. Special meetings of the Board may be called by the President and shall be called upon the written request of three members of the Board.

ARTICLE VII – Committees
Section 1. The following committee(s) will be Standing Committee(s):
a. Events / Social Committee
b. Show Committee

Section 2. The following committee(s) will be Ad-hoc Committee(s):
a. Bylaws Committee
b. Finance Committee


ARTICLE VIII – Sportsmanship
Section 1. Participants should remember that the Tri-Cities Corvette Club events are sporting events to be conducted in a sporting spirit; that all events are organized and managed by amateurs who cheerfully give their time to do their best.

Section 2. Those participating in Tri-Cities Corvette Club events are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner.

Section 3. No alcohol beverages or illegal substances shall be consumed during any Tri-Cities Corvette Club events, or while an active member is representing the Club, as the Club encourages family participation in all events. Failure to comply may result in disciplinary action, up to and including expulsion from the Club.

Section 4. When traveling in a convoy, participants are expected to abide by all local and state laws.


ARTICLE IX – Parliamentary Authority
The rules contained in the current edition of Robert’s Rules of Order Newly Revised shall govern the Tri-Cities Corvette Club in all cases to which they are applicable and in which they are not inconsistent with these Bylaws and any special rules of order the Club may adopt.

ARTICLE X – Amendment of Bylaws
The Bylaws may be amended at any regular meeting of the Club by a two-third (2/3) vote of the members present, provided that the amendment has been submitted in writing at the previous regular meeting.
